Coco Smoko

A great photo, no doubt. There is something to be said for fine black and white film developing. I wonder if a digital photographer could acheive the perfection of this photo? I just want her jewelry! I wouldn't mind the chaise longue either. Yep, she's wearing the black Verdura cuffs.

Coco Smoko Modo Loco!

hahahahahahahahah... snort!
Oh lordy, I need some sleep. That just tickled me for some reason.

Ah for the days when doing bad things was not so bad. Could you see Dorothy Parker's table at the Algonquin today? "I'd like a decaf lowfat chai tea, please"

And Coco Chanel with the dangling ashes hanging from her lips while fitting a mannequin? She'd have been sitting on the loading dock!

I love how this photo actually gives Coco Chanel a "pretty" persona: even the cigarette seems to augment the elegance. She wasn't know for being beautiful.

Ann - I have that photo of Mlle! It's in a book about the history of Barbie dolls, of all things. She's fitting Romy Schneider, and her head to toe Chanel look, complete with hat & shoes, is indeed accessorized with a brazen choke dangling from her lips while she's talking and pinning. Nice.
